Registering new organisations

Organisations are companies or charities responsible for referring clients to each other. They subscribe to a network of organisations managed by the administering organisation.

Create an organisation

Only system administrators can create organisations.

To create an organisation, the system administrator must navigate to the directory and select “Add Organisation”.

The administrator will be prompted to provide the organisation’s name, select a parent organisation (if applicable), and enter the organisation’s address before proceeding.

Next, the administrator must complete essential contact details, such as phone number, email address, and website (optional). They can choose to enter social media details or skip these fields.

Once the organisation is created, it will appear under the “Inactive” tab. Organisations are initially set as inactive to allow staff to configure their profile and acceptance criteria before becoming available to accept referrals.

The administrator should then invite the organisation manager to begin this process.

Sign-up requests

Individual organisations and charities can request to join the administering organisation’s network from the login page. Streamlining the onboarding and vetting process for both parties.

To request to join, the prospective organisation must provide the following details:

  • Organisation name
  • Intended use of the system
  • Contact details
  • Description of their service offering (up to 500 characters)
  • Indicate if they’re a sub-team of an already subscribed organisation
  • Set marketing preferences

Approving organisations

Only system administrators can view organisations awaiting approval.

When a sign-up request is submitted, system administrators will receive a notification in their inbox within the system.

The message will include details of the submission and a link to the organisation awaiting approval. Each sign-up request creates a “draft” organisation in the system, which can be found under the “Awaiting Approval” tab in the directory.

The data submitted by the organisation will pre-populate the relevant fields, allowing the administrator to approve and create the organisation with a single click—reducing duplication of effort.

Administrators also have the option to decline the sign-up request, which will remove the organisation* from the directory entirely.

* clarify with the tech lead if this means it’s deleted from the database of just removed from the front-end.
